I know it is a Saturday… but…

It is also the first of November, so pinch, punch, first of the month, and kick, flick for being so quick.

hello november

Not only is it the month of Bonfire Night (the 5th), Thanksgiving in the USA, and the month of frenetic Christmas preparations… this year I am going to participate in NaBloPoMo, National Blog Posting Month.

It was highlighted to me by a friend of mine who is participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and she suggested that I have a go at doing the Blog version. So… I said I would.  I must confess to being a little worried that I would be able to do it.

home remedies from a country doctor

As you would expect, I have done frantic planning and I think I have come up with a good scheme for writing a blog a day for a month. The plan is to use topics from one of my herbalism books as a basis for the daily post. The book is entitled “Home Remedies from a Country Doctor” and is another book I picked up on holiday in Canada. Basically it is the wisdom of several country doctors in the USA. It is a rather fascinating read, and I am hoping that using it as a basis, along with added research from my other sources, we should have an interesting month learning together.

Now, some of the posts I do in the next month will not be very interesting I suspect. Being interesting every day for 30 concurrently is a tall order for anyone! However it would be nice if I could get some more people following here, and on the Facebook page and even on Twitter. I would be really grateful if you could see your way to sharing my blog with your friends, to like my Facebook page if you haven’t already. My goal is to reach 100 likes on the Facebook page if at all possible, but I would like to boost the numbers on all the social media outlets I am involved with. Thank you for your help.

Now, I am going to get on with  Saturday jobs. Starting with hoovering through the house, I am then going to get stuck into organising and decluttering one of the loft spaces. I am looking forward to finding treasure in the darkness… which when you think about it, is sort of what we will be doing in the month of November as well!!

Until tomorrow!
